Lessons at Hatch End Tuition build children’s confidence and help them achieve high standards of work in an engaging and challenging environment.

We deliver Year 4, and Year 5 courses throughout the school year and Year 6 courses in the autumn term. Our 90-minute lessons are centrally planned by our experienced team. At the end of the Year 5 school-year, students have the option to continue weekly tuition through the summer holiday via our Summer Extension course (extra payable - please enquire).

A balanced structure covers the core 11+ subjects: Verbal Reasoning, Maths, Mental Arithmetic, Creative Writing, Grammar and Comprehension. Non-Verbal Reasoning is covered in separate holiday courses.

The small class sizes means pupils progress is closely monitored and an open dialogue between teacher, parent and pupil gives each student the best chance for achieving their potential.

Homework forms a crucial part of the learning process and set each week in all subjects. Challenge exercises are available to stretch more able learners.

Year 6

Year 6 Tuition during Autumn Term prepares pupils for the Independent School Entrance Exams. Advanced Maths topics, comprehension skills and writing techniques are the focus of this 7-week course.

Our mixed ability classes offer students full coverage of the topics and skills required for the 11+ Examinations. All-round 90-minute lessons taught by a qualified teacher and planned in detail by our expert team.

The foundation year. All-round 90-minute lessons taught by a qualified teacher and planned in detail by our expert team. Lessons cover Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. Extra focus on spelling and arithmetic.
